Help me evacuate my family from Gaza to Canada

Hello, my name is Dalia, a Palestinian woman lives in Germany. I’m raising this fundraiser to help my little brother and my sister to get their way safe out of GAZA to Canada to my older sister as they applied for the Temperary visa to canada , here is my little brother Rami’s message:

My name is Rami Adnan, a 23-year-old man from Gaza. For the past 180 days, my sister, her husband, her 4 children layan and layal twins 13 years old and sama and hala 11 years old and I have been trapped in a war zone under heavy bombardment. After our houses were bombed and destroyed, we were forced to evacuate six times, each time fleeing for our lives to a new location. Currently, we are taking refuge in a house on the front lines facing the Israeli navy, cramped with 34 people in a small space. Miraculously, we have survived the war so far. However, we have lost 11 members of our extended family in this conflict, deepening our grief and despair. My friend Joe, “may God rest his soul in peace,” was killed along with 23 of his family members. Joe was a close friend with whom I shared many dreams and memorable times. I hope he is in a better place now. Additionally, my beloved cat, Sugar, died in an airstrike.

Life in Gaza has been greatly disrupted. Schools, colleges, malls, hospitals, and more have been destroyed. Our future looks bleak, with no guarantee of safety, employment, or even the most basic elements of a decent life. Our chances of survival are diminishing as time passes and the unpredictability of the war has turned our existence into a mere game of chance.

Before the war, from 2017 until October 7th, I was involved in social work and civil society, securing aid and funds for the needy. Overnight, everything changed. My aspirations for a master's degree and my career goal of becoming an interpreter and even my hobby of playing guitar vanished. I found myself helpless, unable to provide for my family, watching my injured grandmother in desperate need of medical attention. Without access to clean drinking water, and with the loss of connectivity and basic sanitation, we are forced to shower once every two weeks.

In our culture, maintaining dignity is essential, and asking for help is considered unthinkable. However, the horrors we have endured have pushed us beyond our limits, surpassing what is imaginable in Gaza and what one can conceive in terms of human suffering. Despite living through an 18-year siege and surviving five previous wars, this conflict is unlike any other. The trauma it has inflicted is unforgettable.

Therefore, my sister’s family and I have decided that it is time to leave, at least until the war ends. The thought of leaving our beloved home in this state is painful, but I must prioritize the safety and future of my family. The only way out of Gaza is through Egypt. Each individual must pay a fee of $5,000 for adult and 2500$ for children to pass through the Rafah crossing. This has become the only escape route for Gazans, as seen in other campaigns on Gofundme. The funds raised will cover the cost we must pay to be allowed through the crossing and rent an apartment to stay in, and the more expenses for this period of time. Beyond these walls, life may not be easy, but it is at least free from the threat of missiles and shells.

•The cost of living for two months in Canada is estimated USD $12,000 . This equals $4,000 per month for renting a home( $8,000) and $4,000 will cover the basic needs of my family in Canada, including their accommodation, food, and other essentials.
