Fight with Joe

Donation protected
Saturday October 17th changed life as Joseph knew it. After a fun-filled day, Joseph experienced a prolonged seizure that required he be air lifted from Grand Rapids to the Children’s Hospital in the Minneapolis. Joseph was heavily sedated and put on a ventilator due to aspirating in his lungs. Joseph endured several tests and scans to determine the cause of his ongoing fever, seizure, elevated blood pressure, and other issues. Over the course of the week, Joseph developed a blood clot, MRSA, pneumonia, and septic shock. Joseph’s blood pressure has been up and down, very elevated and very low. His kidney functioning hasn’t been up to par and is now on temporary dialysis which has increased his hospital stay expectations. Joseph’s father and his significant other, Bill and Chrissy, have been by his side the entire time. The Ronald McDonald house does not have accommodations for the Minneapolis campus so they have been staying in Joseph’s hospital room. The household, which includes 5 other children, have lost all income during this traumatic experience. It is unknown how long Joseph will remain in the hospital and Bill and Chrissy can return to work. Please consider donating to help cover costs associated with care and living expenses.
