Hi, my name is Amanda, and I’m reaching out to ask for support for my mom — a strong, kind, and incredibly resilient woman who has been going through more than anyone should have to.

Over the past year, her health has taken a serious turn. She’s had major complications with her lungs, including a collapsed lung, and now relies on an oxygen tank wherever she goes. She was also diagnosed with six brain aneurysms, which required multiple surgeries and a stent in her head. It’s been a long, painful road, and she still has more treatments, appointments, and rehabilitation ahead of her.

Because of everything she’s been through, my mom hasn’t been able to work in over a year. The bills have built up, and even the basics are becoming hard to manage. The house needs a lot of work to make it a healthy, livable space again — and right now, they don’t even have hot water, which means she can’t take the warm baths that once helped ease her daily pain.

Before she got sick, my mom loved to play darts. It wasn’t just a hobby — it was a passion. She played in competitions, made it to finals, and had a whole community of friends through it. Darts brought her joy, pride, and a sense of connection. Since her health declined, she hasn’t been able to play, and she misses it deeply. It was such a big part of her life, and I know she’s hoping one day she’ll be well enough to hold a dart again.

She’s someone who takes several medications each day, depends on constant medical care, and still tries to stay strong through it all. My aunt has been working full-time to help support her, and I help as much as I can, but it’s just not enough right now.

The truth is — my mom isn’t the type to ask for help. She’s never been one to make a big deal about what she’s going through, and she keeps to herself. So for her to allow me to create this fundraiser is a big step — and it shows just how serious things have gotten.

I’m creating this GoFundMe because I want to do something — anything — to take even a little bit of the weight off her shoulders. Every donation will go toward helping her cover essential living expenses, medical needs, and repairs to make her home a safe place to heal.
