Mission Trip
Donation protected
Since the beginning of the year I have had the opportunity to volunteer with the Missionaries of Charity in Atlanta. I was blessed to spend almost 6 weeks at their home, Gift of Grace for women that are HIV+.
In June I met Sister Prema, the Superior General of the order leading over 5,000 sisters around the world to continue Mother (Saint) Teresa's vision to serve the "poorest of the poor." In our conversations we talked about me coming to Kolkata to volunteer. I have an opportunity to spend January volunteering in India at their children's homes and the their homes for the dying destitute.
Will you join me on this journey as I go out into the streets to serve the poorest of the poor. It is only possible with your help. Together we all build the Kingdom.
Please know that I am grateful for all the people that have enabled me to serve in Africa for three years. When I began raising funds in 2014 I found it extremely difficult. One day when I was really struggling a friend said to me - "Chris, I don't have the courage to walk away from life here in the US and serve. But by donating I can be a part of God's work through your hands." It was this one statement that taught me that it is not about me, it is about all of us together.
Thank you for considering "stepping into this story" through supporting me on this mission trip. The journey continues...….
