Cancer treatment assistance

Melissa and I have been friends since we first met at work in Florida in 1991. Although we have recently been physically living far away from each other, we still remain close friends and anyone who knows “sweet Melissa” knows that she is a beautiful person inside and out who has survived several hardships and worries about everything and everyone else.

Melissa is now faced with the fight of her life - Triple Negative breast cancer. Thankfully it has not metastasized and she is beginning her treatment next week. Due to the nature of her cancer, there are no targeted therapies or chemo therapies that have been “proven” in this type of cancer. The treatment she has chosen is considered to be “experimental” and therefore, much of it will not be covered via health insurance. She likely will be missing work on top of the medical expenses. She does have some family support thankfully but they don’t have all of the funds required to pay out of pocket  either. 

This year, as I turn 50, I don’t want any gifts. I need nothing, I want nothing, I am blessed beyond belief with family and friends. Your gift to me would be to donate to my GoFundMe for my dear friend Melissa so she has some less worry and can concentrate on her treatment and healing.
