Deidre's Medical Vacation Fund
Donation protected
As many of you know, Deidre Johnston Spahn was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on January 27, 2016. She has a home daycare business that she will not be able to continue during the course of her treatment and for some time afterwards. She will receive treatment over the next 30 days at KU Medical Center then will not be able to be more than 30 minutes from the hospital for at least several weeks after that. This is going to be a difficult time for her considering that she cannot work and of course has no sick time with a home daycare. Deidre has 3 amazing kids, ages 18, 16, and 12 (almost 13!) and unexpectedly lost her husband 3 years ago. She is a wonderful, caring person who gives her love generously and I ask that we band together and give back to her as much as we can. Any donation, prayers, and good thoughts are welcome and much appreciated. Thank you so much!
