Helping Taylor

Donation protected
Dear friends and family,

We are reaching out to you on behalf of our precious daughter.  Taylor's health has been on a steady decline over the last 8 years.  At first it was hardly noticeable – less energy, a few digestive issues, random aches and pains.  The symptoms were so mild and vague that she just adjusted to the new normal as it progressed.  We worked on things like her diet and immune system at home.  When it was clear that we weren’t winning the fight at home and the symptoms were getting worse and increasing in number, we began to search out doctors who might have the answers.  Eventually she was clinically diagnosed with Lyme disease.  She has been treated by both conventional and naturopathic doctors but has not experienced any lasting improvement.  In fact, her symptoms have become physically, mentally, and emotionally debilitating.  She has been mostly home-bound for about 3 years now.

So many people have asked how they can help.  There are usually no specific needs that we feel like God is not already meeting on a daily basis, but we can always use prayer and encouragement.  So please keep that up!  However, we are excited to say that God’s good providence has led us to a clinic in another country which has had success in treating Lyme disease and other chronic degenerative diseases. Several things came together that all seem to confirm our decision to go there.  Taylor will be treated for approximately four weeks at the clinic but the treatment will not end there.  They will also educate us on continuing the protocol for several months once we return home.  As you may guess, this is not a conventional treatment that is covered by insurance.  That’s been the case with other things we have tried, but this is the most expensive.  We would not be considering it if we did not feel that it was a really good option.  Our goal is based on four weeks at the clinic, the cost of airfare for Danna and Taylor, and some equipment that we will need once we are back home.  If you are able and so desire, we would be very grateful and humbled by your financial help.  Thank you for the love and concern that many of you have shown to our family over these years!

In closing, we have great hope in spite of our trials.  Through sickness, we are learning to depend on God’s strength.  Though sickness lingers, we continue to trust in His goodness.  We believe that God is with us, sustaining us and working all things for our good and His glory.   We believe that He can heal by whatever means He chooses and always in His timing.   “So we do not lose heart.  Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.  For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen.  For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4:16-18)

Persevering by His grace!
