Adam Harner is a father of two, sibling to three, and son to his still-married parents.
Adam has helped out many kitchens in Macon County and is currently employed with the Franklin Pizza Tavern.
Work and family life have taken a back seat to an aggressive form of leukemia, which Adam learned about in late 2025.
Though he is doing all he can to try and beat this thing, what Medicare is able to cover is not enough.
Adam needs a Pleural Catheter System to drain the fluids from his lungs. After the initial draining, during another expensive trip to Asheville, the hospital informed him he needs to pay out of pocket for the equipment that drains the fluids.
This product is known as the “thousand dollar bottle” as it quite literally costs that much.
This is crucial to keeping Adam comfortable, as the lung fluid creates ample amounts of pain.
Adam's parents have come to the area to help support him with rides to and from Asheville, but there’s only so much they can do. Their life in Florida has been completely disrupted as they do all they can to support their son.
It has, unfortunately, gotten to the point that Adam and his family need outside support.
Your support will help Adam receive his medical equipment, pay for daily life (as he cannot work during chemo), and help pay to get to and from Asheville for the best medical care he can receive.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Anything you are able to donate would help.
