Our little Leila has been dealt more than her fair share of challenges in life. From an early age she suffered from regular seizures and hospitalisations as a result. She suffers from hearing loss and mobility issues which have prevented her from learning to walk..... Yet!
But none of this has stop Leilas determination to be a happy smiling little lady and we are so pleased that she is coming up to two whole years without an unplanned hospital visit!!!
For the past year she has been attending the incredible Thomas Wolsey school who have, amongst many other things, being helping her communicate through sign language. She can now pester anyone for a biscuit (constantly) and she usually gets her way!
Having progressed so well at the Thomas Wolsey she will soon also be attending a “mainstream” school where she can be with her best friend. We hope this will encourage her even more to continue growing and overcoming all of her challenges.
However there are ways which everyone can make things a bit easier for Leila to really live her best life! She has a funded walker (pic above) which is essential for her to continue working on her mobility, unfortunately there is only funding for one walker and transportation between two schools and home is very difficult.
As a family we have raised a lot of money for charitable causes in Leila's name, mostly towards Epilepsy charities to benefit all who suffer. We think she deserves to have a walker wherever she is so we are calling upon crowd funding to help us purchase another two, one for her new school and one for home.
The equipment will be bought with the advise of professionals, should Leila be blessed to have more than she needs, for these walkers, in donations, there are plenty of other tools which will help her, all funds raised will go directly to supporting Leila.
Please give as generously as you can, this is literally to give a little girl the chance to fight for the independence she deserves and will help Leila live her best life!
Thank you so much from Leila and family
