Hello everyone,
I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my best friend’s dad, Jeremy, and his family during one of the most difficult times of their lives.
A few weeks ago, Jeremy went to the hospital thinking he had the flu. None of us expected what would happen next. He was diagnosed with two strains of the flu, pneumonia, and later cirrhosis of the liver. His condition became so severe that he spent three weeks in the hospital, and at one point, doctors were even discussing hospice care.
There were moments when we truly didn’t know if he was going to survive.
Watching someone you care about fight for their life is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Seeing my best friend scared, exhausted, and heartbroken was devastating. Thankfully, Jeremy was able to come home—but coming home didn’t mean everything was okay.
Because of his medical condition and long hospitalization, he lost his job. He worked on the water and provided for his family through hard physical labor. Now, he is no longer physically capable of doing that work. Overnight, he went from being a strong provider to struggling just to get by.
Now he can’t work. He can’t pay his bills. He can’t provide for his kids the way he always has.
And that breaks my heart.
Medical bills are piling up. Rent and utilities are overdue. The stress and fear this family is living with every day is overwhelming. They never asked for this. They never asked for help. But right now, they truly need it.
That’s why I’m asking for your kindness and support.
We are trying to raise $26,000 to help cover medical expenses, basic living costs, and give this family a chance to breathe while Jeremy continues to recover.
Any amount—no matter how small—means more than you know. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser. Sometimes one share can truly change everything.
My best friend and her family mean the world to me. I’m doing everything I can to help them through this, and I’m hoping you’ll stand with us too.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your love, prayers, and support.
With gratitude,
Kimberly K.
