Donated COVID-19 Protection Gear made in NC
Donation protected
We're providing disaster relief personal protection equipment (PPE) for health care providers and individuals that are at risk while doing their jobs in North Carolina during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Why support us?
We’re currently producing and offering two face shields and a face mask:
- a sturdy shield for all-day use by healthcare workers with the greatest potential for exposure to COVID-19
- a lightweight shield for more casual use by grocery store employees, delivery drivers, plumbers, and other essential workers
- a reusable face mask with replaceable filters
We've already invested over $1000 ourselves, which will result into 200 face shields that we're donating to the local community.
We want to continue and expand our PPE creation effort, and our aim is to build our team with a distributed manufacturing capability to increase our production rate. We are committed to donate our time to make and distribute the equipment. However, we cannot sustain the costs for buying and maintaining more printers and supplies.
Tax Deductible Donations
Tax receipts are available for donations of $500 or more through Day One Disaster Relief , a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit. They have been working with us to procure filament, filters, printers and other supplies as soon as the PPE shortage became clear and facilitated collaboration with health care professionals and bio labs for PPE analysis. Day One Disaster Relief, with your specific donation, will buy us more supplies and printers. Don’t use GoFundMe for these donations, instead write an email to [email redacted] and we’ll work with you to set everything up.
