Rileys Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On February 19th, 2017 Riley was involved in an ATV accident that changed our lives. Riley suffered many physical injuries, the most significant being traumatic brain injury as a result of a basal skull fracture.
After two months in various departments of Regina General Hospital, five months at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre and ten and a half months of many various therapies, Riley continues to amaze us with his zest for life and desire to recover. His stubbornness, strength and hard work, combined with the love and support of so many friends and family has amazed us all.
As Riley continues his journey to recovery there will be a need for us to provide him with additional therapies and medical treatments, none of which are funded.
Some of the therapies Riley receives include;
Hyperbaric Chamber – Concentrated Oxygen therapy Speech therapy
Anat Baniel Method – NeuroMovement
Visceral Manipulation
Chiropractor/Massage
With no insurance, restitution from those involved in the accident, or any source of income other than Canada Pension Plan it continues to be difficult to get Riley all the therapy that continues to aid in his improvement.
On September 22, 2018 we will be hosting a burger night at the Travelodge, many who can not make it have asked how they can contribute in another way. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for continuing to follow with us on this journey
