NCF Custodian Herman's dog Bo needs surgery!
Donation protected
Herman Johnson has worked as a custodian and maintenance support worker for New College since 2004. Students, staff, and alums will remember him from the Fitness Center, Hamm Center, or his long nights keeping a cheerful, watchful eye over students during PCPs.
Herman called last week to let me know his VERY GOOD, very beloved dog Bo has torn a ligament in his hind leg and needs urgent surgery. Bo is a four year old, squishy-faced sharpei/pit mix who loves to play and cuddle. Herman and Bo are very bonded, and, as long as Bo has this surgery, he still has many doggy years ahead of him.
Herman keeps New College clean and running for Novo Collegians. Now, we have a chance to thank him. Fortunately, the Humane Society of Sarasota has offered to perform the surgery for about $1,200. This is much less than the nearly $4,000 the original vet quoted Herman in the photos attached, and still out of Herman's price range.
Please help Herman and Bo by donating or sharing. I know we can do this.
Thank you!
