Help Save My Kitty...Please?

Hello there,
My name is Justin Mercuri, I'm campaigning to try and raise money to help with veterinary bills that will be coming trying to save my family's cat, Jasmine, aka "Peewee".
First of all a little history behind how Jasmine came into our little family. It was 5 years ago and my parents and sister were talking about getting another cat to add to the two that we currently had. Murphy, my feline, and Baxter, my dad's cat. "Chub-chub" as we affectionately call him. My mother was in contact with a rescue center through my local pet store and they had the perfect little bundle of joy that they had brought in from a rather dire situation.
Jasmine was found abandoned under a bush soon after her birth, they estimated that she'd been on her own maybe a few days at the most, she was sickly, absolutely tiny, had one of her eyes damaged badly and she had parasites due to the water that she was drinking to try and cling to life. The rescue center did all that they could and little Jasmine pulled through, she is permanently blind in her right eye, and the parasites took quite a while to get out of her system, but she is a fighter through and through! So after a good long while, we brought Jasmine home for the first time! Introduced her to Baxter and Murphy, and the rest so they say? Is history!
She's always been a bit of a funny cat. We knew that she was going to be interesting when she would hop up onto my dad's lap and sit there trying to steal all kinds of food that he happened to have, usually pawing at my dad's hands until he either paid attention (even though he was pretending that he wasn't, he really was) or she whacked whatever he had in his fingers away, usually a bite sized piece so she could skitter away to eat it and then...slink back for more after a few minutes of checking if the coast was clear!
The nick-name "Peewee" came from her size! She's the second oldest out of the three cats that we have, Spunky, our newest, being just over 2 years old, is near -double- her size. She's like a kitten that never grew up!
Lately though there had been some problems. We noticed that she'd been a lot more ravenous than normal, almost like she'd turned into a bottomless pit, and she started losing weight rather rapidly. Her last vet check up a year ago she was about 7 1/2lbs, Today when we had her into the vet due to worries about her health? She weighed in at just shy of 4lbs.
Her skin was yellowed and her throat was slightly swollen on one side; the vet said that the possibility is there for liver problems due to the yellowed skin, and hyper thyroid is possible because of the weight loss and ravenous appetite. But they weren't sure entirely so they had blood work and urinalysis done on her to find out what is wrong. The results are coming back tomorrow morning and hopefully we'll find out what is going on; but they took blood work today and just to get that done was nearly 400 dollars and some change, and from what I hear from one of my friends who is a vet herself, the medications could be quite expensive for her treatment of thyroid and liver problems.
Normally I am not a person that asks for charity, I personally dislike asking for help; I've always been one of the people that if I couldn't do it myself, I won't ask someone else either. But that was material things, like video games, or collectables. This time? It involves a life...and a life that I, and my family would really want sticking around for a good lot longer than the measly 5 years that we've had her to date.
My parents and I are on a tight budget right at the moment and...we need all the help that we can get.
Please, help save a life of a little 'Peewee' of a kitten who is just a cuddle-bum that deserves a chance.
To all those that donate, or think of donate, thank you for even considering and thank you all for your donations and time. I hope to be able to meet my goal of 2000 dollars and be able to save the tiny life of my Jasmine, my little peewee.
Thank you. <3
