Support Grant McDougall's Fight Against ALS
Donation protected
Hi everyone!
As you may or may not have already heard the guy we all know and love, Grant McDougall was diagnosed with Bulbar Onset ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) back in April of this year. He holds so many wonderful roles to all of us as a loving father, husband, son, brother, nephew, cousin, friend, co-worker, teammate, etc. and as devastating as this news has been, we have made the decision to rally around him and try to alleviate some of the financial burden of this terrible disease by creating this GO FUND ME page. ALS is unforgiving, relentless, and has no cure! It doesn't stop, but neither do we in showing our continuous support for Grant. His neurology team at Cedars-Sinai has conveyed to us that this is time sensitive and through many others we have learned that the substantial current and future medical cost of this will be overwhelming. He has shown us he is a pillar of strength in this courageous battle and it would be so appreciated if you could find it in your hearts to donate as Grant will eventually be forced into claiming disability. Future medical costs include, but are not limited to clinical research trials, voice banking, bipap machine (currently using) at home medical equipment including accommodations and adaptations made to their home for usage, and other alternate methods of acquiring nutrition for weight gain. along with many other costs that at this we are learning about as each day goes by. ALS has been able to steal some things from him and that will eventually include his income making it difficult to support his wife, Coleen (who is currently still working while adjusting to her role as caregiver) and their two beautiful daughters, Riley and McKayne The gravity of the situation in requesting financial help is urgent as this disease attacks economically, emotionally, physically, and psychologically. We cannot thank you enough for the prayers and help that have already taken place and are so grateful to each one of you for whatever you can do. Our hearts are filled with gratitude for the loving friends and family who have been there for him, and also for those expressing their desire to put together other fundraising opportunities later throughout the year. Truly, every little bit helps. Your support means the absolute world!!! This cannot be stressed enough and we thank you for taking the time to read this.
