Support NC Deputy, SRO who Lost Battle w/ COVID19

After the shocking death of “Bud” (his real name was Sypraseuth Phouangphrachanh) from Covid-19 the night of Tuesday, March 31, 2020, the outpouring of love we have felt in our community is indescribable. Bud grew up in Richmond County, North Carolina with his family, extended family and many friends. In our Laotian-Asian culture, we don’t take pride in asking for money or donations. So, when the community that welcomed our family in those many years ago reached out asking how they could help, we decided to set up this GoFundMe page for Bud’s family. These funds will provide some assistance to his family as they process the loss of a beloved husband, father and soon to be grandfather.

We realized how important he has become to the community of Montgomery County, North Carolina as he worked as a Deputy Sheriff and School Resource Officer working with children, who fell in love with him because of his fun and caring nature. Bud was adored by so many people. He always had a way of making you laugh and never took life so seriously.

Bud leaves behind his wife, Heather, and five children, Logan (25), Madison (22), Erica (21), Kristina (14) and Aidehn (8). He was only 43 years old and his birthday is April 8th. He will be missed greatly.

There is another GoFundMe page set up by Tyler Johnson, family member of Heather. It is okay to donate to that one as well. It is apparent he is loved by many and have touched so many lives.
