Help Me Go to Egypt!

 

My name is Seth Calhoun, I am currently a high school junior attending Oak Park and River Forest High School. I have participated in a multitude of extracurriculars, including Cross Country, Robotics, and Student Council. In addition, I practice twice a week with the Chicago Children’s Choir, a world renowned choir in which have participated in since 2nd grade. For me, expressing myself in the arts is essential to to persevere through hardships in daily life. This year, I was blessed with an opportunity, as my choir chose me to be apart of select group to tour to Egypt this June for 10 days.

 

 

While starting the transition out of high school, there has recently been an influx of miscellaneous bills relating either to school or my extracurriculars (AP and SAT testing, Uniforms, etc.)

 

I come from a household supported by only one parent, where all of my expenses come out the pocket. Although my mother is a hard worker and has always succeeded at getting me the best, it has been hard to see her sacrifice days and nights at work over the years with minimal assistance to obtain the opportunities she wants for me. That is why I am asking you to please help with a small portion of the trip expenses to help me achieve this experience. All help is appreciated, and thank you!
