Hi I’m Chaz and I’m fundraising to help my baby girl Kaiya get CCL surgery!
Who is Kaiya: She is my perfect 7 year old Siberian Husky, she has more personality and is more talkative than some people I know! Full of energy, she would run around daily, playing with her son Neo who is now 5 years old and has gotten bigger than her, but you would never know it.
A few weeks ago they were playing when she jumped off the couch (which she’s has done a million times) and when she landed, she let out a screech and struggled to get up. She limped around until we thought it might be worse than just a bump, or a bruise so we brought her to the veterinarian hospital and they told us she had tore her CCL and would need surgery. A dogs CCL is comparable to the ACL of humans.
I knew it would cost a good amount, but when she told me the surgery would be 5,500 or more by the end of February I was shocked! I want her to get this surgery as watching her struggle to walk daily and to not be able to play with her son, is torture. So I called around and asked if we could have the surgery done and have me put on some kind of payment plan which was quickly rejected as they said they need the money prior to the procedure which I was very surprised they wouldn’t work with me in that aspect. They suggested CARE credit for pets, but I am currently disputing a bill from a bank they are connected to so that application was rejected as well, so here I am. Anyone that knows me knows I hate asking people for help, but without a choice, I am now asking you all to help me help her get back to being the energetic happy go lucky dog she deserves to be.
