Help Send 2nd Grade on a STEM Fieldtrip

Do you remember an experience in elementary school? An experience that correlated your learning with your passions?
As a second grade teacher, I LOVE seeing eyes light up as my students get excited about material we are studying. At Adelante Charter School, a small Two Way Immersion Program located in Santa Barbara, California, my students learn in two languages, English and Spanish.
We have an amazing opportunity to continue to engage our second grade students in their learning! In our FOSS unit of Balance and Motion that we conducted this fall students learned about the forces of motion.
Currently in our Writers Workshop series we are learning how to use the information that we already know about the world around us to create research projects that answers questions we pose as a class.
Legoland California offers the perfect synergy between learning and excitement. Legoland California offers educational classes that will provide students with the opportunity to use the information they have learned about forces and motion, alongside what they are currently learning about writing! We are hoping to take our 36 brilliant students on a field trip that will open their minds, create excitement in their learning, and mostly provide s fun educational experience that may shape the rest of their lives!!!
The cost of this Fieldtrip includes admission fees, chaperone fees, and travel costs.
