Hello,

 

My name is Sophia De Torres from North Peace Secondary School (NPSS). I currently play the point guard position for the Senior Girls Varsity Team. Recently, I have qualified to play for the NBC Travel Team going to Italy this summer 2022 and was hoping to ask for your support in ways of a sponsorship to help fund this opportunity. The NBC Travel Team is a huge opportunity to play with some of the best youth basketball players from all over Canada and USA. This will expand my skillset and connections as a basketball player, and will help me build my future in this sport. I am so grateful to be given this opportunity, therefore any help financially that you can extend would greatly benefit my dreams as an aspiring basketball player.

 

My Playing Background:

I have been playing basketball for about 8 years. I played on various teams in our community here in Fort St. John such as the Duncan Cran Grade 5/6 team, Dr. Kearney Grade 7/8/9 teams, NPSS's Grade 10/11/12 teams, as well as the FSJ Flight Club Basketball from U13-U17. Also, I currently participate in FSJ's Spring League Basketball as a coach for the junior's division and a player in the Seniors division.
