Karen's Bucket List!

Hi everyone! My name is Kaytee and because so many of you have asked how you can help our mom, we've decided to start this GoFundMe.

In February 2024, our mom, Karen, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer called Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM). It came as a shock, as she had just had a successful surgery in January to remove a tumor in her brain & we were hoping we were in the clear. Unfortunately, the universe had other plans for our family.

Despite all of this, our mom has kept her light shining bright. She continues to crack jokes, laugh often, and smile constantly. This queen is too stubborn to let a diagnosis define her!

Between daily radiation and chemotherapy treatments, weekly speech therapy sessions, the hospital visit for the initial tumor removal, and a week in rehab post-surgery, costs have piled up.

However, our focus is on the future. Bills can be paid later, but we want to use the time that we have to the best of our ability. The life expectancy following a GBM diagnosis is unfortunately not long. This means that we have a lot of sights to see in a short amount of time. We have compiled a bucket list, including local items such as "see the Guardians play the Reds at the Great American Ball Park" as well as out of town items like "see Wicked on Broadway" and "visit the Sydney Opera House" so these funds will also help Karen check these items off her list! And hopefully she beats the odds and sticks around for many years to come.
