Hey there! I’m Whitney and I’ll be co-coaching the Rugby NB U18 Women as they head to St. John’s, Newfoundland for the U19 Atlantic Rugby Championships from July 8-12, 2026.

Although we are very excited to take a team to this competition, our projected budget for this trip will cost each athlete nearly $2000, which is over double what player costs were the last two years. Half of these costs are related to actually getting everyone to Newfoundland. With our players graduating high school this month and many heading off to post secondary institutions in the fall, this cost is prohibitive for many of our athletes.

Last year, our U17 team took home 3rd at the U17 Atlantic Rugby Championships (Narrowly losing to the would-be 1st place team in the semi finals). Many of these young women will compete on our U18 team this summer and we hope to be competitive as a younger team in the U19 tournament. In order for this to happen, the cost of playing can’t interfere with someone’s ability to be on the team.

All money raised is going directly to team fees and reducing the cost for our 23 players. Thank you for your support!
