My name is Rachel Zell, and I am creating this GoFundMe for my partner Naylor Campbell. In September of 2022 he suffered a seizure, and fell out of our second story window. He suffered a complete T8 spinal cord injury which resulted in paraplegia from the waist down. He continues to suffer with chronic back and nerve pain, a broken shoulder and collarbone, as well as an extensive pressure wound.  As we learn a new way of living with his injuries, we have also been hit with the financial burden that comes along with all that insurance doesn’t cover when it comes to the things he needs to live a somewhat comfortable life. Things we never knew were needed and would cost so much. I am only able to work part time, as I am Naylor’s sole care giver, which has greatly reduced our income. Disability has been applied for but as we all know, that can take quite a long time before approval. Naylor is facing more upcoming surgeries that will require additional hospital stays, more time home for me with his care creating a further loss of income for us.  With that being said, there are many things in our lives that have changed and need to be adapted for Naylor’s well being and mobility.  Some essential things that are needed and not covered include: -Custom fit wheelchair  -An adaptable vehicle  -Accessible (ADA) housing  -Mobility ramps -Everyday personal supplies -The opportunity to have stem cell therapy.  Naylor is someone who would do anything to help someone in need and is not keen on asking for help for himself.
