Remembering Nawang Sherpa: Support for His Family

Its with immense sadness, we share the heartbreaking news that our dear friend and beloved guide, Nawang Sherpa—known as NG to his friends and EverTrekkers—has tragically passed away on Mt. Everest. Nawang was guiding for another local Nepalese company, striving to achieve his lifelong dream of summiting Everest. He went missing last Wednesday morning, just below the summit, alongside his client from Kenya.

Nawang has been an integral part of the EverTrek family, guiding many EverTrekkers to achieve their goals over the years in Nepal. His passion, expertise, and warm spirit touched the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of trekking with him. His loss is deeply felt within the mountain community and beyond.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Nawang's family, friends, and all who knew him. To honor his memory and support his family during this difficult time, we have created this GoFundMe campaign.
