Hi friends and family. Today I recieved an email that could help shape my future. I worked for two months on an audition video for Broadway Theatre Project. For those of you that have never heard of BTP, Broadway Theatre Project is a program run by Broadway professionals to train students in the arts. Every year around a thousand students audition and only 80 students are accepted. Today I recieved my acceptance letter.
I am very excited for the opportunity to work with Debra Mc Waters and Darren Gibson the co-artistic directors, along with Broadway stars such as Ben Vereen and other great talents. Broadway Theatre Project has been called the "Harvard" of Summer Musical Theatre training. This is a fantastic opportunity for me. It will open doors to better colleges and professional ventures for me.
This year is their 26th year in operation. I will be spending 2 weeks in Tampa at the Norwegian Creative Studiostking classes and rehearsing and then on July 25th I will travel to Miami and board the Norwegian Gateway and perform on this cruise ship twice. During the cruise I will also be taking classes and seminars on auditioning and interviewing professionally and for colleges along with more training to develop my skills.
The total cost for this is $3750. This will include all of my expenses for food, housing, training, and travel. The total ammount is due on April 10th. If you could help in any ammount I would be very appreciative. Thank you so much.
