Navy Vet/Single Father Attacked, Beaten and Bound

You never know whose hiding around the corner, even in the safest of areas.

Hello, my name is Jacque and I'm a widowed father of two girls and a former Navy Veteran. In the early morning of  Labor day, 2019 I woke up in the early morning and went outside for some air in my back yard.  Once outside of nowhere an unknown man immediately attacked me with a metal tire iron, eventually after struggling, the man picked up a sledgehammer and began hitting me in the head with that as well. After loosing awareness, I was dragged into my garage where I was bound and beaten some more.  Luckily my adult daughter, who lives with me, heard the commotion and fled to the neighbors house and called 911. The man was arrested and is being tried for 5 felonies.

I was taken to the Trauma and ICU area of a local hospital. I have 25 stitches in my head, severe dizziness, 7 open wounds, and a skull fracture. I'm asking for any assistance that will help cover medical bills and lost wages.
