Navy Sailors Lose Everything but Bible in House Fire
Donation protected
My name is Michelle Thomas and I am writing on behalf of my nephew Shea Fortin, from Dartmouth, Massachusetts, and his Navy housemates after their house was destroyed in a fire on 4/18 around midnight.
The four Navy Sailors are stationed in Norfolk, Virginia, living off-base in a nearby house. AT2 Byron Darner from Florida, AE3 Benjamin Oneil from New Mexico, AT3 JaredAllen Tovera from California, and my nephew AM3 Shea Fortin, lost everything they own, including furniture, uniforms, clothes, medals, and all other personal and household items.
The firefighter that night said they were lucky to be alive due to the fast-moving electrical fire. Despite losing everything but the clothes on their back, unbelievably the one thing that remained in-tact was a Bible (shown in picture), open to John 19, which is a chapter containing excerpts about Good Friday, the day which the fire took place. It truly was a miracle all four boys made it out unharmed.
If you are able, please help them by either donating or sharing, as they would be forever grateful. These young men are all living out of state away from home and could use all the help they can get.
