Naval Academy Summer S.T.E.M Fund
Donation protected
The Naval Academy Summer S.T.E.M camp is a week full of problem solving, learning, critical thinking, and team building for rising 9th-11th graders interested in a future in S.T.E.M. All funds donated will be used for the Naval Academy Summer S.T.E.M Camp. The money will be used for items such as clothing for the participants and counselors, food, and materials for S.T.E.M related activities.
During the past 5 summers, Talbot County teen
leaders have created a fun week of engaging science
for underprivileged elementary school children. The
goal of our camp is not only to share science
experiences with these pupils, but also to show them
that everyone is capable of achieving greatness
through hard work and application. STEM Camp
provides an opportunity for kids to enjoy learning,
while starting them on a path to rise to the level of
high expectations. Following the example of their
STEM Leaders, the children can begin to build a
foundation of character development and intellectual
curiosity.
Ever dollar donated to this account will go to the
Midshore Foundation, a 501(c) (3) nonprofit that
STEM Camp has partnered with. The money will then
be used to buy much needed classroom materials for
camp, food for our STEM Leaders, and uniforms for
our STEM Leaders. Every donation is greatly
appreciated, and every donation will help create a
better experience and learning environment for some
of Talbot County's(Maryland) underprivileged
elementary school children in need of guidance and
inspiration.
