Navajo Nation Masks
Donation protected
My mother-in-law is helping me make cloth masks so we can deliver them to the health workers who need them and the families who are trying to stop the spread. My own mother is delivering them to many towns to help stop the issue. But we’re running out of fabric and satin ribbons to mass produce.
Because of the threat, many families are dying. This includes grandparents, adults, and children. My aunt who is a nurse for Indian Health Services, has seen families come to the hospital we have in Phoenix. Most are not making it to full recovery. We don’t have the immune system to help us withstand the issue. This has to do with generations and biology. Our bodies are not as prepared to fight COVID-19.
If you can help to donate fabric or ribbons, or basic needs like cleaning supplies, food, etc, feel free to send to us at PO Box 1223, Queen Creek AZ 85142. All donations will be routed to the Navajo Nations through family members and family friends. Even if it’s money for us to buy more in PHX, we are doing what we can to help slow the spread.
