Friends and Family:

We come to you today and ask for your help on behalf of a true leader and brother. This is Gunny Nava, a father, husband, son and a true leader of Marines. He has served his country for over 22 years, leading troops in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. Gunny Nava has always been there for everyone, going above and beyond to take care of his family and his troops. Due to his multiple combat injuries now it is our turn to go above and beyond for him.

Gunny has been under medical treatment over the years for his injuries that were sustained in combat. Unfortunately, his health has deteriorated over the last 5 months and he is currently in the hospital again. Due to his medical issues, he has not been able to work for most of the year and needs our help with mounting medical bills and his everyday bills as a provider to his family . The care from the VA has been sub-par to say the least, so he has been paying for his treatments out of pocket. Any money that is collected will go straight to his family for help with any bills that they currently have and will have. We ask two things from you, first is to please say a prayer for our brother Efren Nava and his family. I know I speak for my brothers when I say that we are hurting badly from this, so we can only imagine how hard it is for his wife and children. Second is that you please help with whatever you can, $1, $2 anything helps. We understand that times are hard with a cost of living that seems to never stop going up and with Christmas being only being 5 days away but, we ask you to please help with what whatever you can. I had the privilege of serving with Gunny Nava in Iraq (as many of you reading this did) and I can also say that man took care of us and now it's time to help him.
