Help needed with my medical bills

My name is Martyn Coomber and I work as an Information Systems Analyst in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire, where I live with my wife and our two-year-old son Zyair. I am originally from Sierra Leone.

On May 22nd, 2023, I suffered a Spinal Cord Injury after falling from the first floor of a construction site in Freetown, Sierra Leone. I underwent a successful surgery at the Life Care Hospital in Freetown on May 24th, 2023 (please see the attached medical report).

I started physiotherapy a week after the surgery, focusing on nerve stimulation. I continued this treatment until August 4th, 2023, when I returned to Abidjan.

In September 2023, I was admitted to the Centre Medical EKAS for further rehabilitation and recovery. I stayed there for a month and then resumed physiotherapy at home.

My current physiotherapy sessions are mainly aimed at strengthening my body and upper limbs. The exercises are mostly physical. You can find some pictures of my physiotherapy activities in the attachments.

I have created this gofund me page to ask for your help in my recovery process. I believe that I could recover faster if I had access to better facilities and health care. I have contacted some health care facilities in the UK and learned that the course of intensive rehabilitation there is around GBP 50,000. I would appreciate any contribution you can make towards this goal.
