We are Náufragos do Futuro, a team of two EU Business School students "Maximo and Franco" participating in the Portugal Azul Challenge led by explorer Nacho Dean. We’re raising funds to support our project, which focuses on educating young people about marine conservation, organizing beach clean‑ups, and documenting the impact of plastic pollution in Portugal’s waters.

Furthermore, we believe that our generation has a responsibility to protect the oceans and through this challenge we want to inspire others to become stewards of the ocean and show that meaningful change can start with small, community‑driven actions.

Funds will be used to produce educational materials, cover logistical costs of sailing, collecting plastic samples off the coast of Madeira or Azores, beach clean‑ups, educational events, and support the documentation of our work . *If we don’t win, we’ll still donate all funds to the Portugal Azul marine conservation trust.

All donations will be collected via GoFundMe and transferred directly to Portugal Azul. We will maintain transparent records of how every euro is allocated, and at the end of the campaign we will share an update detailing expenditures and donations to partner organizations.

For every €100 donated, Franco or I will swim 1 kilometer of open sea in the coast of Barcelona and the surrounding beaches in May or April.
