Nature's Classroom Institute and Montessori School are two programs with one great mission.
We are the nation's premier Environmental Education program, operational now for almost 3 decades and serving over 3000 students each year nation-wide. We offer a fully customized, highly engaging 3-or 5-day experience that has direct and positive impact on classroom, community and academic performance. Through our multi-disciplined classes and activities, we have been able to engage students and enhance their love of learning. Whether students are studying mountain ecosystems at 7,000 feet or wandering the redwoods in northern California, studying Marine and estuary ecosystems in Florida, exploring the Hill country of Texas or the lakes of Wisconsin, our students develop deep respect for the environment and a better understanding of their role in the world around them.
Our Montessori farm school, situated on 140 acres in rural Southeastern Wisconsin, serves students from ages 2 1/2 through high school. We have blended our core philosophy of Environmental Education and Agricultural studies to our Montessori pedagogy. The result is an incredible young person who is not only inspired to be a steward of the planet and an empathetic community member but also gains strong academic skills, and solid Executive Functions.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions and for the safety of our students, staff and community members, we have had to temporarily close our Environmental Education programs across the country and limit enrollment to our Montessori school. We are raising money to secure the survival of Nature's Classroom Institute and Montessori School, in these challenging circumstances. Any contribution you make to our cause will have a great impact on the many young people who benefit so much from this program.
