Ashley was hospitalized on May 18th, 2022 due to severe pain, migraines and vomiting. It didn’t take long for doctors to realize there was something seriously wrong. After batteries of tests, doctors were able to conclude that Ashley was afflicted with kidney disease. If you know Ashley, you know she is art in motion. She creates and magnifies the beauty in everything and everyone she touches. Her warm, loving soul is like sunshine to anyone who shares space with her. Most of us have fun, quirky stories about how we became a part of Ashley’s world, because the truth is, she’s never met a stranger. It’s not uncommon for a chance encounter to become a life long friendship when Ashley is involved!
At home, Ashley is a devoted and loving single mother who provides rich soil for her son, Mason, to grow and explore who he is. It’s no surprise to her community that Mason has begun to foster his own forms of expression and creativity, just like his Mama.
As you can tell, we all adore her. The support we are creating here, together, is fueled by our genuine desire to graciously return to her a fraction of the love and support she offers everyone she knows.
Ashley has been told by medical professionals she will need a kidney transplant. We have also found doctors and specialists who offer treatments that may greatly reduce her need for a transplant and encourage healing in her kidneys. As an entrepreneur, Ashley does not have the luxury of time off. And several of her treatment options are quite costly. Together, we believe we can create the space for Ashley to heal and to utilize treatments that would otherwise be unavailable to her.
Thank you for your support, her son, family and friends are infinitely grateful.
