Sadly, their insurance does not offer any reimbursement as they travel down to Standford. They also do not qualify for any housing assistance therefore this is all coming out of pocket. Their Airbnb stay is costing them 5k for their stay and this does not include their gas, food, and any incidentals.

At a later date Nattalie and her family will need to go back down for a second surgery requiring a second stay, again costing out of pock.

If you know Nattalie, then you know of her amazing and vibrant personality, her love of family/friends and her zest for life. However, last December she was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer and has been battling this aggressive disease since. This is the most aggressive breast cancer and it tends to come back within the first 5 years. Luckily, she finished her chemo treatments at the end of April but she still has a long road ahead of her. She is looking at undergoing bilateral mastectomy and reconstructive surgery at Stanford University Hospital. We will find out at that time if there is residual cancer and if any further treatments. For the bilateral mastectomy she will need to stay in the Stanford area to be monitored. This will add a tremendous amount to her mountain high medical bills.

Nattalie is 35 years old and resides in Reno, NV with her husband and 3 year old son Kash and she’s in for the fight of her life. The reconstructive surgery will be at a later date after healing time from the bilateral mastectomy.

Due to Nattalie’s aggressive cancer her supportive husband Kyle had to take a different position in his company so he could be available and take care of Nattalie and Kash, which greatly affects their household income. We are using this platform to reach out to friends and family to help with household finances and medical bills. Any help will be appreciated in this wonderful family’s time of need!! If we can come together as a community to help relieve some of the financial burdens, it could help Nattalie focus on her recovery until her next surgery. She’s in this to win this fight!
