STRATA BRASS - 2ND SECTION NATIONAL FINALS 2025

STRATA BRASS based in Elsecar near Barnsley are a self funding brass band dating back 135 years.

Formerly a colliery band it has survived since the local colliery closed in the early sixties by performing concerts and other events.

The band recently attended the Yorkshire Regional Finals (2nd section) and qualified for the national finals in Cheltenham in September to represent Yorkshire.

The band is now working hard to raise funds to attend this event which will cost approx £2000.

Members range in age from 16 to 75 years and rehearse twice a week in the local Parish Hall.
