Donation protected
In the latter months of 2024 Martin Duxbury, 39 from Darwen, Lancashire, husband to Bryony Duxbury and Dad to 10yr old Ivy Duxbury was diagnosed with Stage 4 Intrahepatic Liver Bile Duct Cancer. This type of cancer is very rare and historically only associated with those in their +70s. Since diagnosis Martin encountered aggressive advancement with his condition consequently spreading to the lining of his abdomen. Sadly on Monday 28th April he lost his fierce battle against this brutal disease.
To raise money in order to support Martin's young family we have committed ourselves to take on the National 3 Peaks 24hr challenge, beginning at 06:30am on Saturday 10th May, 2025.
The National 3 peaks Challenge begins with Ben Nevis in Glen Nevis, Scotland, following onto Scafell Pike in the Lake District, England and finishes at Snowdon in Snowdonia, Wales. These 3 significant peaks are the top 3 highest mountains across the UK. They cover a total walking distance of 23miles (37km) with a collective ascent of 3064metres (10,052ft).
Please support our mission to raise money and support Martin's wife Bryony and daughter Ivy navigate through this excruciatingly difficult time and provide assistance for them, helping to eleviate the financial burdens encountered during this drastically life changing, deeply heartbreaking time.
Thanks in advance for your support.
