So - I quite desperately need to start saving up some money for a (potentially) impending house move.
This post is incredibly hard for me to write - I hate asking for monetary help.
Unfortunately I'm sort of starting from £0 - and need to get somewhere between £1800 - £2000 total to cover a deposit, first month's rent, assorted costs etc. (but mostly these first 2 things).
I will get half the deposit back on the current place (~£500), there's credit in the energy account, and come April I'll have a month where I'm not paying for my train ticket (it's a season ticket loan payment - 12 months paid back over 10, so around £200). I'm going to try and put around £100 aside between Jan-Apr (and until I actually move) but saving is hard - I'm working on impulse control but it's a long road filled with very shiny distractions.
I'm attempting to also go up a grade at work which will come with a pay increase, and any incentives/rewards I hit will also go into the "I need moving money" pot but this is not guaranteed.
So what this means is, I'm starting a GoFundMe. I have set a goal of £1100 - I don't expect to hit this, but it would be amazing if I did. Even a fraction of the way would be incredibly helpful.
If you can contribute, it would be *amazing* and I will love you for it.
If you can't, I still love you and you might be able to give me a hand in other ways (see Facebook).
There are a couple of friends who have already offered to potentially help with slightly larger amounts that I want to be able to pay back over time - the GoFundMe link is specifically for "I have £10 spare and like Nathan's face" donations that I will attempt to pay back in kindness or pay forwards somehow when I can.
