Nathan’s Lahaina fire fund

My dear friend and brother Nathan and many others have suffered devastating losses in the Lahaina/Maui fires.

I wasn’t gonna be able to sleep tonight with out starting this…

so far I know his home was lost and based on images of the harbor his beloved sailboat “The Lusty Lady” is gone. If Nathan declines any of the funds raised I trust he will pass them along to other Lahaina peeps in need. He is a small business owner and the employees of Chaney Tree Care are family to him and have likely lost their homes as well.

Social media and networking actually bringing people together! Warms my heart

I have moved the goal to $10k, as we have surpassed the initial goal in 3 days!!!!

I have had some communication with those who have spoke to Nathan, the accounts of that day and the final evacuation are described as horrific, terrifying and life changing!

He has collaborated with friends at a home in Kaanapali with no power and they are scavenging some gasoline for a generator.

He made it out with his truck and the chipper in tow, maybe a couple chain saws.

Conditions changed quickly and priorities were skewed…

In hind sight some toiletries and clothes might have been nice to have.

I hope to have a phone call with him soon, and am fascinated to hear the story, but am reluctant to make him tell this horrific story over and over.
