The March trial ended in a hung jury and will be retried in Oct. We are keeping this going to see if we can raise more money to help with the cost of traveling to Houston again. It was extremely hard on everyone who traveled with us for the first trial, and it will be even harder the second time. The amount that was donated went towards our rooms the first 10 days we were there. That helped tremendously. Thank you all for all the help each and everyone of you have done either by donating or even by sharing. I really appreciate it wholeheartedly.

The Freeman Family is facing an incredibly difficult time after the tragic loss of Nathan Freeman, who was murdered in Houston on March 20, 2023. As the trial for Nathan’s murder approaches on March 16th, the family is preparing to travel to Houston to seek justice and honor Nathan’s memory. This journey is not only emotionally challenging but also financially burdensome as they arrange travel, food, and lodging for their stay.

The funds raised will go directly toward covering the Freeman Family’s travel expenses, meals, and hotel costs while they attend the trial. Marty Freeman, a key family member, will receive pay for the first week of the trial, but unfortunately, he will not be compensated for the second week. This loss of income makes it even more difficult for the family to manage the costs associated with being away from home for an extended period. Additionally, as they travel to Houston, the family will need to stop along the way to pick up Nathan's sister Jessica, since she does not have a reliable car to make the trip herself.
