I have signed up for the Copenhagen Ironman challenge to raise money for Snow Buddies UK, a leading Snow Sport charity committed to making winter sports accessible to the disabled. The Charity delivers tailored, enjoyable, and often transformative experiences that empower participants through snowsports. In 2023, I had the privilege of joining Snow Buddies UK on a trip to France, where I witnessed first-hand the charity’s profound impact. It was incredibly rewarding to see how skiing fosters confidence and excitement and deep social bonds. For many, these trips are the highlight of their year. As someone with a long-standing personal connection to winter sports, I have experienced the mental, physical, and emotional benefits they offer. Through this fundraising initiative, I want to help Snow Buddies UK make these opportunities more widely available. Reducing the financial barriers will enable the charity to continue expanding and delivering life-changing experiences to those with disabilities.
