Nath’s Cancer Journey- Getting a family back on their feet!

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Lisha,
I am starting this page on behalf of Nathan and Ash to help them get back on their feet.

On September 8th, Nath was diagnosed with Burkitts lymphoma, a rare and aggressive form of Luekimia. Nathan first went into hospital with a golf ball size mass in his stomach, which more than doubled in size leading him to start chemotherapy just a few days later.
Within a week of being diagnosed he was told the cancer had spread through over 90% of his bone marrow and his spleen; spreading at a very fast rate.

At this stage Nathan has done 2 intensive rounds of chemo in the last 2 months and is currently on his 3rd round.

On the 6th of November Nathan received his results after the 2 rounds which showed that the chemo had removed most of the cancer in his bone marrow and is still in his spleen. These are amazing results, but the journey is far from over. The chemotherapy now needs to focus on the smaller cells in the bone marrow that we can't see on the scans and his spleen for Nathan to be in the all clear.

As we all know life doesn't stop in the background, Nathan has a partner and 2 beautiful kids they still need to provide for. He hadn’t been able to work since September 6th and won't be able to work until his made a full recovery from the chemotherapy and his cancer. His partner also had to give up her job to be there everyday to support Nath so it's been a huge financial stress on the family.

I am starting this go fund me to aid in the support of Nathan, to help with hospital bills, fuel and other expenses he isn't able to keep up with.
Nathan is one of the best blokes you'd ever have the chance to meet and would give anybody the shirt off his back, and wouldn't expect anything in return and for this i want to be able to help him as much as I can.
He would appreciate even the smallest donation or simply to share this around.

On Sunday Feb 9th 2025, A cricket game has been organised in honour of Nathan Findlay to help get through one of the toughest times of his life.
With the funds going towards Nathans and his family to support the difficult journey they have been facing. This will be held at Traralgon Rovers Cricket Club, would be great to see people head down there also to help support a great bloke
