Nathaniels Fight against Cancer and other horrors
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Rob. I hate to do these things, but our family has fallen on some extremely hard times. The biggest downfall has been helping our 3 year old Nathaniel fight for his life. Nathaniel is a twin, his sister Mackenzie is doing great. Nathaniel has been fighting for his life ever since he's been in his mothers womb, born 10 weeks early due to his tube being severely constricted he spent longer than his sister in the NICU during covid no less in 2020.
Being 10 weeks premature they both had some catching up to do with size, physical and mental abilities as well. Well shortly after their second birthday on June in 2022, Nathaniel came down with a fever and had a huge mass on his stomach. Taking him to the hospital they attempted to misdiagnose him as constipated, when I insisted that wasn't the issue we got one of the worst things a parent wants to hear. Cancer, high-risk Neuroblastoma to be exact and it had metastasized into his liver, a lymph node and possibly his lungs.
This type of cancer starts in his adrenal glands of course it did. We have a blog of his journey, good bad and ugly at Team Nathaniel. Over the last 19 months he's been through 5 rounds of Chemo, Surgery, 2 bone marrow transplants, radiation and immunotherapy. Last week we were supposed to have the MRI so he can Ring the bell, but he came down with RSV, an ear infection and some kind of Rhinovirus. He's been in the hospital the last 6 days. Between all of the hospital bills coming in, some major house repairs, physical, occupation and speech therapy he needs to catch up we've dug ourselves in a hole that we're having trouble digging ourselves out of. We're about $35,000 in debt and the hospital bills haven't stopped coming yet.
If you can't donate if you could at least pray for our son, or give him well wishes whatever you believe in would be extremely helpful.
