Hello!

My name is Alix and I am helping my brother Nathaniel raise money for his dog Walters life saving treatment. Last week Nathaniel had to take Walter to the emergency vet due to him bleeding profusely from him nose and being unable to stop the bleeding at the time. Walter then had to undergo surgery to get the bleeding to stop and was told they were unable to locate the problem, this and the lab work that would later show a very rare fungal disease has already cost $5,000. The lab work shows that Walter has a very rare fungal infection called aspergillosis all throughout his sinus cavity. He now needs to undergo very expensive and intense treatment that will need to be done once a month for at least 4 months to treat the infection. This will entail Nathanial having to take Walter to the Neel Veterinarian Hospital which is the only one in the state able to do the treatment and Walter will have to be put under anesthesia where they will fill his nasal cavity with the anti-fungal and will have top keep him like that for minimum an hour, this also will need to be done while he is put on a breathing tube to ensure he does not get the treatment anywhere else in his respiratory cavity. They will then drain out the medication after and Walter will need to be monitored closely for any side effects. Due to the medication for this infection Walter is now also having trouble with his Kidneys and will need constant lab work to make sure that his kidney function is staying in normal limits. This has been quoted to cost another $5,000. This would be able to make sure Walter gets the best care and continue to be the bestest boy he is!

A little about Nathaniel and Walter,

Nathaniel adopted Walter from the Midwest City animal shelter in January of 2021 and ever since they have been inseparable. Walter goes wherever Nathaniel goes and is the stereotypical definition of attached at the hip. Walter is known to be quite mopey when Nathaniel is not around and if you ask any of Nathaniel's friends or family they will tell you that Walter is Nathaniel's whole world. They are each others best friends. We are hoping to be able to help keep these two best buds together and get Walter back to his happy nibbly self!
