Our lives changed on July 2nd, 2022. What we thought was a simple er visit for a swollen face turned tragic when we found out our sweet boy Nathaniel Cuba has Leukemia. When I tell you I hit my knees and cried so hard I mean it. This came out of nowhere. He has seen his pediatrician multiple times the past few months never once did a red flag get raised from her.
Within 12 hrs they told us he has leukemia, he got 2 blood transfusions that night of July 2nd and a bone marrow biopsy on July 4th. By July 5th they confirmed it’s the “good kind” if that word can even exist during this diagnosis. Officially he has PreCoursor acute B cell lymphoblastic leukemia with hyperdipolid of trisomy 4 & 10. He got a chest port on July 6th and his first round of chemo started that day as well.
He’s the strongest little boy in the world and he is pushing through but he has a long road to normalcy. He’s the strongest little boy in the world and he is pushing through but he has a long road to recovery. If you are able, please donate to help cover his medical expenses and time away from work my husband had to quit his job to be his full time care giver as Nathaniel can’t go to school and this will be about a 5 year journey. 2 of those years will be intensive chemo.
With my husband having to quit his job was a huge hit on finances. We are not the type to ask for help but I had an eye opening dream and God told me it was ok to ask for help that he will guide us and Nathaniel will be ok.
Above all, please continue lifting us up in prayer!! Any funds will be used to help pay medical bills, transportation and used for any possible extra treatments or hospital stays he may need.
