Nathaniel arap Chumo Memorial Fund
Donation protected
We have started this Memorial Fund with the intent of honoring our father, Mr. Nathaniel arap Chumo.
Our dad passed away suddenly this past Saturday, March 29, 2020 - a massive shock and blow to our family.
The past few days have been a mix of emotions, with the sting of sadness of losing our dad while celebrating all his contributions to our family, friends, his colleagues and more broadly his communities.
He was a great man, a kind soul, a doting father and a loving husband. He may also be known to many of you as a true nature-phile. His passion that drove his career at Wildlife Clubs of Kenya, Ministry of Environment, Water and Natural Resources, Eastern Africa Environmental Network (EAEN), ICBP - Kenya and ultimately, to his beloved farm in Ndurio.
Unfortunately, due to travel and gathering restrictions due to COVID-19, we will be holding a small funeral at our home in Ndurio on Tuesday, March 31, 2020. Once the restrictions are dropped, we will hold a requiem Mass for him. Details to be shared.
We appreciate the concern, prayers and outreach from many of you so far.
If you are so inclined, you may make a donation through this site or via MPesa to Kiprono Chumo at +254717033688. Funds raised will go towards defraying some of the funeral costs and, to contributing towards his other love - the environment - in his honor.
We thank you very much for your generosity. May God bless you.
Please continue to pray for his soul to rest in eternal peace!
Prayer for Eternal Rest
Eternal rest, grant him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
