Due to the sudden and tragic passing of Nathan Carnes this past Sunday, the family has been left with an unknown but sustantial amount of medical bills as the result of his treatment. It is our hope that this campaign will ease the burden on the family and take some of the finanical stress off of them and allow them to move forward. We hope that this will serve as a means of supporting the famliy for those that wish to help, but simply do not know how or otherwise cannot.
I am writing this on behalf of Nathan's wife Amy, (My Sister). Amy and Nathan recently celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary and have shared their relationship for 21 years. They have been blessed with 3 beautiful children, who have now lost their father.
The timeline of events follows below:
On Friday January 1, 2016, Nathan Carnes, 41, was admitted to Good Samaritain Hospital for a sudden onset illness. He was transfered by ambulance to the Intensive Care Unit at University of Washington Medical Center for more intensive treament. Shortly after his arrival he was placed on life support as the medical staff attempted to determine just what was causing his illness and the best course of treatment.
We had some small improvements on Saturday and he began to show some signs of improvement and began to interact and respond through non-verbal communication with family members. Unfortunately, his condition began to worsen on Sunday, and despite the best efforts of the medical staff; Nathan passed away suddenly around 8:45 PM on Sunday January 3, 2016.
There was a small but very important contingent of famliy members and freinds by his side at the end. Nathan is survived by his Wife Amy, his Children Sean, Jacob and Elizabeth, his Mother Sue, and Brother Daniel. There were many more freinds and family at his side throughout this ordeal, and all of them are greatly appreciated for the amount of love and support they have provided throughout this difficult time. We offer a sincere thank you to everyone who was able to support Amy and the rest of the family in the short period in which the future was uncertain. We appreciate the continued support after his passing.
His loss has left a painful void in all our lives, and a heavy burden on his family. It is my hope that this will ease some of that burden and help them with this painful transistion. Any amount will be greatly appreciated.
On a personal note, I have had the pleasure of knowing Nathan for all of the 21 years he was in my sister's life. As well as having the privilege of being his brother-in-law for the last 14 years. Thank you all for your support.
