Nathanael's Study Abroad Trip to Paris, France

Hi, My name is Nathanael Avila, and I am a freshman in high school at Jones College Prep in Chicago. I am 15 years old and have big dreams for my future, even if I am not sure now where I may end up in the future. One thing that I have always dreamed of is connecting with the French culture and traveling to Paris, not just for pleasure, but for learning about the world, people, and myself.

Recently, I received an opportunity for just that: I was accepted into a study abroad program this summer where I will be studying the French language in the beautiful city of Paris and learning about their culture and traditions.

This is an opportunity that is very important for me and long-awaited, but there is only one thing that holds me back from achieving it - Money. I was blessed to receive a scholarship for a portion of the cost, but I still need to pay for the rest of the program on my own, and the remainder is due by April 15th. The funds will be used for my tuition and airfare. I am so close to my dream and if you help me out, even if it's just a dollar, anything helps.

If you donate to my program, you will be helping me not only have an amazing experience, but you will also be helping me do the following:

1) Complete a college course before I even enter college (as this program will earn me 4 college credits!)

2) Gain college desirability, which is imperative as I hope to go to a Ivy League level school

3) Increase my world knowledge and proficiency in a new language

4) Give me the chance to have a long-awaited meeting with family whom I have never met. I have family who live in Europe that I will get to meet at the end of my program, and I would not have had the opportunity otherwise.
