On Monday 30th of August, 17 year old Nathan Weckert tragically lost his life in a car accident on the Sunshine Coast. Nathan was a loving son to Jason and Shannon and adored brother to Corey, Jordyn and Ryan.

Nathan was an amazing young man who was hilarious, a prankster, an incredible footballer and athlete, a loyal friend and loved his family with everything that he had. Nathan lived life to the fullest and he did everything with much integrity and passion. Over the years he has played for Sunshine Coast Wave, Sunshine Coast Fire, Football Queensland National Futsal, Buderim Wanderers, Noosa Lions, and most recently Olympic FC. Everyone who met Nathan was impacted by him, he is a much loved friend and his presence brought so much joy into a room, a Futsal court or Football field. The tragic passing of Nathan leaves a big hole in the hearts of his family, friends and the football community.
Nathan's family are grateful for the love and support during this difficult time. It would be an incredible blessing if we can come together financially to support them as they they work through the grief of loosing a son and brother.

We love you Nathan and you have left behind a legacy that you will be fondly remembered for.
