Nathan's bone infection has taken a turn for the worse. Today he was told that his white cells were way down and that he now has to start a second IV antibiotic that will run until January 10, 2010. From there it could go much longer. He has virtually no immune system right now and is quarantined to home because interaction with the public could be deadly.
Nathan has been on IV antibiotics for two months now and we still can't beat this infection.
As many of you know, he has had 51 operations and countless infections that have left us financially devastated and every time we start to build some sort of future that gives a cushion to us, a severe medical issue takes it all away.
Nathan's new IV medicine and the current one are costing us thousands. He is tired and trying to work full time. We are both working around the clock.
If you can help us relieve one of these pressure's we would be so grateful. Please keep Nathan in your prayers as he is feeling much weaker this last week. I turn around and he is asleep virtually everywhere we go. He looked at me today and said "I just feel so sick, so tired and weak". Of course he won't show this to anyone when he is out trying to do his job.
These medicines are very very expensive, he has to go back to the hospital for transfusions and it's all adding up so much.
I'm just a worried mom rambling because I feel so helpless when normally I feel so in charge.
